Dear Carter County Thunder 2008 Sponsor:

Held July 3^rd at the Carter County Fairgrounds, Thunder 2008 was once again a tremendous success.  The fireworks were spectacular, George Molton was a hit, the rain held off and the size of the patriotic crowd was unbelievable.  As the event coordinator, and on behalf of the innumerable patrons who enjoyed the free fireworks and concert, I simply do not know how I could ever express adequate thanks for your generosity towards this great independence celebration.

I certainly hope you were able to attend Thunder 2008 at the Fairgrounds and share in the experience your support helped make possible.  Please check out our new website www.cartercountythunder.com at your leisure to see some of the fun and excitement we were able to capture on camera.

Carter County Thunder belongs to our community.  Though I lead the coordination efforts through Carter County Thunder, Inc, 501(c) 4, this annual event is very much a product of our entire Carter County community.  Carter County Thunder exists only through the support of local contributions, and thus I hope you feel a certain sense of ownership in this event.   On our website you will find a Sources and Uses of funds summary for this years show.  A more detailed Thunder 2008 Audit can be obtained by request, in keeping with our open books policy.

Please join me in extending thanks also to The Carter County Fair Board, The Grayson Area Chamber of Commerce, The City of Grayson Tourism and Convention Commission, The City of Grayson and the Grayson Volunteer Fire Department who all played major rolls in helping make Thunder 2008 a success.

 Plans for Thunder 2009 and beyond are already being considered.  As always, I look forward to working with you on future community projects.
